**PLANT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Objective**: To direct, promote and coordinate the operations of the business in a manner that will optimize the Company’s savings, improve efficiency, and help achieve the Company’s goals.
- **Main Duties**:_
- Direct plant operations in alignment with corporate business strategy.
- Manage, direct and lead organization talent management processes and employee engagement initiatives.
- Employ continuous improvement initiatives throughout operations to reduce downtime, control supply chain and to improve overall customer satisfaction.
- Ensure safe working environment through leadership and commitment to company safety standards.
- Directs the planning and budgeting processes so that the needs of the plant are anticipated, and operations are properly controlled.
- Directs the production and inventory control functions to ensure that the customer’s needs are met in a timely manner while utilizing the capacity of the operation in the most efficient manner.
- Ensures a safe work environment for all employees through effective management of plant supervisory personnel, implementation and maintenance of safety awareness and hygiene programs, and compliance with regulatory organizations' requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Mexican labor laws and regulations.
- Directs the activities of the shipping function to ensure that customer orders are processed and filled in a timely accurate manner. Coordinates activities with traffic and physical distribution functions to ensure orders are shipped in an expedient manner at the lowest possible cost.
- Ensure compliance with import/export and trade activities.
- Ensure quality control of the products so that they leave the factory with excellent quality.
- Continuous review of quality assurance system processes and procedures.
- Ensure LEAN Methodology is maintained.
- Hold monthly Company update meetings
- **Experience and Requirements**:_
- Degree in engineering or manufacturing related field, Operation Management MBA desirable.
- A minimum of 10+ years’ experience in operational management and business administration.
- Significant experience of Production Planning & Scheduling, Procurement, and material requirement planning.
- Qualifications or demonstrable experience in LEAN Manufacturing.
- Ability to define Company strategies.
- Cost / finance knowlwedge.
- Ability to build and develop a team/ Soft skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills - ability to develop a solution.
- Highly motivated, excellent communicator.
- Strong organization and administration skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to drive change and successfully lead and implement these change initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage direct reports and build organizational capability.
- Strong communication skills and comfort with facilitating teams/groups and working with all levels in the organization.
