**Position Summary**
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Design and Development**: Lead the design and development of new thermoplastic products, ensuring they meet performance specifications and customer requirements.
- **Process Optimization**: Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for thermoplastic materials, including injection molding, extrusion, and thermoforming.
- **Testing and Analysis**: Conduct material testing and failure analysis to improve product performance and resolve material-related issues.
- **Quality Assurance**: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain material quality standards and specifications.
- **Project Management**: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
- **Collaboration**: Work with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and supply chain to ensure seamless integration of new materials and processes.
- **Documentation**: Prepare detailed technical reports, process documentation, and material specifications.
- **Innovation**: Stay updated with the latest advancements in thermoplastic materials and technologies, and drive innovation within the organization.
**Qualifications**
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Science, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in thermoplastic engineering, with a strong emphasis on material selection and process optimization.
- **Technical Skills**:
- Proficiency in thermoplastic processing techniques such as injection molding, extrusion, and thermoforming.
- Strong understanding of polymer chemistry and material properties.
- Experience with CAD software and material simulation tools.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to thermoplastic materials.
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex material and process issues.
- **Communication**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
- **Teamwork**: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
