**Job Title: Manager - Credit Underwriting**

**Location**: Monterrey, Mexico

**Position Overview**: We are seeking a highly skilled Manager of Credit Underwriting to oversee and manage our credit underwriting team in Monterrey, Mexico. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of our lending decisions, maintaining high standards of risk management, and optimizing credit approval processes.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and supervise a team of credit underwriters, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure accurate and timely completion of credit assessments.
- Manage the end-to-end credit underwriting process, including analyzing credit data, financial statements, and other relevant information to evaluate the creditworthiness of applicants.
- Collaborate with sales, relationship managers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure a seamless underwriting process.
- Monitor portfolio quality and performance, identifying trends and risks, and implementing strategies to mitigate potential losses.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in credit underwriting to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management regarding credit metrics, performance, and portfolio analysis.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience (X years) in credit underwriting within the financial services industry, with a demonstrated progression into leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of credit risk assessment, financial analysis, and lending principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
- Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to credit underwriting.
- Leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team toward achieving organizational goals.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Spanish.
- Proficiency in using financial analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
