The Senior DB2 Administrator is responsible for the IBM i database environment which includes designing, implementing, and supporting these core infrastructure services. In addition, this individual will also be responsible for assisting the product teams with new system design, implementation and testing of mission-critical business systems.

**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
- 5 - 7 years of corporate IT experience as an IBM i / iSeries Administrator in a global environment.
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain databases
- Able to utilize IBM i Collection Services to monitor, diagnose and trouble shoot issues
- Demonstrated ability to utilize Visual Explain to advise and diagnose optimizer recommendations
- Knowledge of IBM iDoctor and Job Watcher performance tools
- Detailed knowledge of underlying DB2 database management system products and tools
- Knowledge of database physical and logical design principals
- Experience writing SQL and programming
- Database and SQL performance tuning
- Knowledge of Disk storage mechanisms preferred
- Knowledge of programming languages helpful
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with other groups to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions
- Proven ability to prioritize work load and meet project deadlines
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies is required.

Sueldo:
$100,000 MXN Mensual
