**Function**:Supply Management / Logistics

- Lead in the development and maintenance of cost models to assist the Strategic Sourcing teams to ensure analyses of all costs are considered during the sourcing, negotiation and decision-making process. Assist engineers and Supply Management personnel in Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) and Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) decisions As a Cost Engineer you will integrate with our global enterprise business partners by providing technical manufacturing process details to insure the most effective cost solutions and assist in managing our cost tools. In addition, you will:

- Utilize Should Cost tools such as aPriori, BDI, and Excel, to establish detailed cost analysis breakdown for use in design for cost and commercial validation and negotiation discussions.
- Lead/assist in supplier discussions and/or negotiations by using fact-based information based on analysis of quotes, use of cost models, and other appropriate analyses, i.e. considering cost drivers such as material indices, currencies, etc. Support Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) and Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) teams in the implementation and use of Global Cost Management Methodologies and cost reduction planning processes to ensure all costs are identified and managed to achieve the lowest total cost.

**What Skills You Need**:

- Technical skill and knowledge in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) and other early development costing techniques.
- Experience identifying and quantifying part cost drivers.
- 2 - 4 years of manufacturing engineer experience.
- 2 - 4 years of technical experience relating to the development and understanding of complex component costs.
- Experience in the use of advanced Excel functions.
- Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools.
- Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- 1 + years of experience leading small to medium sized individual and cross divisional team projects.

**Education**:

- Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent).
- Degree in a Supply Management discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent).
- Background in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, etc.).
- Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance, and facilities.
- Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
