**VP, COMPLIANCE & AML/CFT - MEXICO**

**Propósito**

Asegura que Scotiabank México cumple de una manera eficiente con las regulaciones aplicables, así como con las políticas y procedimientos internos, con el propósito de minimizar el riesgo de incumplimiento regulatorio. Proporciona dirección estratégica, liderazgo y supervisión de la jurisdicción local respecto de los temas relacionados con Prevención de Lavado de Dinero y Financiamiento al Terrorismo estableciendo los programas correspondientes en el país, vigilando el apego de las iniciativas, planes y estrategias de negocio al mismo.

**Funciones**
- Lidera y conduce una cultura centrada en el cliente para todo su equipo a fin de profundizar las relaciones con los clientes y aprovechar las amplias relaciones del Banco, así como sus sistemas y conocimientos.
- Desarrolla un entendimiento profundo del negocio, sus riesgos y procesos con respecto a la función de Cumplimiento y mantiene conocimiento de la regulación vigente con el propósito de mantener informada a la Alta Dirección de cualquier cambio y vigila su adecuada implementación.
- Asegura que las prácticas y programas internos de cumplimiento estén actualizados y se adhieran a los requerimientos legales y regulatorios aplicables en México y que las políticas y procedimientos estén implementados para que las quejas puedan ser manejadas de una forma razonable y oportuna.
- Organiza, administra y dirige de forma apropiada los recursos de Cumplimiento (incluyendo el establecimiento de prioridades operativas y planes de acción) para proveer un aseguramiento razonable del cumplimiento con las regulaciones aplicables.
- Desarrolla y vigila un monitoreo adecuado del cumplimiento basado en un enfoque de riesgos; revisa los reportes del cumplimiento de las líneas de negocio y sus actividades relacionadas que hayan sido generadas por Auditoría Interna; comunica y reporta cualquier debilidad identificada (percibida) en el cumplimiento de prácticas, políticas, sistemas, recursos humanos o capacitación o una actividad irregular y lleva a cabo las acciones correctivas que sean necesarias.
- Comprende la cultura de riesgo del Banco y cómo debe considerarse el apetito de riesgo en las actividades y decisiones diarias.
- Responsable de la regulación reguladora dentro del país, siendo asesor de confianza en materia de PLD/FT.
- Supervisa la Unidad de Inteligencia Financiera asegurando que las normas de monitoreo apropiadas de PLD se aplican, revisan y validan con regularidad para identificar con eficacia potenciales violaciones.
- Conduce el desarrollo de la estrategia de PLD/FT respondiendo y apoyando las revisiones y consultas regulatorias, investigaciones, citaciones y otros puntos importantes de contacto relacionados con lavado de dinero y sanciones.
- Identifica temas claves en relación con PLD/FT y sanciones y proporciona interpretación de la aplicabilidad de los problemas de cumplimiento mayor a la Alta Dirección.
- Supervisa la preparación del ejercicio anual de evaluación de riesgos en materia de PLD/FT y sanciones; verificando la metodología y el informe de los resultados pertinentes de acuerdo a las expectativas de regulación.
- Representa a Scotiabank en foros del sector y colabora con profesionales de PLD/FT y el cumplimiento de la industria para abordar desafíos comunes y cambios en el Reglamento.
- Supervisa el desarrollo y mantenimiento del programa de PLD/FT y sanciones, asegurando su alienación con los negocios del Banco, parámetros de riesgo, estándares de la industria y expectativas reguladoras.
- Lidera la implementación de un adecuado y sano programa de cumplimiento de PLD/FT y sanciones para las operaciones del Banco, a fin de coadyuvar a la adhesión de leyes y reglamentos.
- Identifica áreas o problemas que pueden plantear riesgos de PLD/FT y sanciones al Banco para desarrollar o modificar las políticas existentes, procedimientos, prácticas, formación y otros controles en respuesta a los cambiantes requisitos legislativos y evaluar de manera proactiva y expectativas reglamentarias.
- Crea un entorno donde su equipo realiza operaciones eficaces y eficientes en sus áreas respectivas, a la vez que garantiza la idoneidad, el cumplimiento y la eficacia de los controles de negocios diarios a fin de cumplir con las obligaciones destinadas a reducir el riesgo operacional, el riesgo de incumplimiento reglamentario, el riesgo de lavado de dinero y de financiamiento al terrorismo y el riesgo de conducta, entre las que se incluyen las responsabilidades establecidas bajo el Marco de Gestión del Riesgo Operacional, el Marco de Gestión de Riesgo del Incumplimiento Reglamentario, el Manual Internacional de Prevención del Lavado de Dinero y Financiamiento al Terrorismo y las Pautas para la Conduc
