**Primary Purpose**:
- Is responsible for performing cost accounting closing, inventory and budget control and support the warehouse in cost matters. The position reports directly to the Cost Control Leader who reports functionally and operationally to the Controller, serves as technical supports for accounting policies and procedures, interacts with internal and external auditors, other external advisors, and other areas of the organization.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Prepare the reconciliation accounts, analyze differences, and add the support documentation, in accordance with company policies.
- Registration of journal entries during the month and in the month-end closing process
- Prepare the month-end closing activities to transmit accurate financials in accordance with the Regional and Corporate deadlines.
- Prepare the Final Cost determination.
- Give support to all the areas of the company, giving the information required in time.
- Prepare information and analysis requested by internal and external auditors.
- Prepared other information and analysis for special projects and cost studies according business decisions
- Prepare Standard Cost calculation, Cost Reports, Manufacturing Indicators, control Plant Budgets, ensure proper Cost allocation to the material, support Physical Inventory process and other cost related activities.
- Prepare Cost Estimates and Annual Operation Plan (AOP)
- Build organizational capability for innovation through training and other avenues.
- Continuously promote changes and innovative improvements on process, systems, and business concepts to deliver profitable and sustainable growth opportunities to Goodyear.
**Education**
- Required:
- An undergraduate degree with a concentration in a business-related field (i.e., Accounting, Finance, Economics, etc.)
- Desired:
- Accounting Certification (i.e., CPA
**Experience**
- Required:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Finance / Accounting
- Experience working with multi-national corporations.
- Knowledge of both local (IFRS) and US GAAP accounting rules
- Desired:
- Experience in Industrial Process (Plant)
- Knowledge, understanding, and practical skills in SAP.
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
- Required:
- Track record of achieving measurable business objectives through understanding of local GAAP/IFRS and U.S. GAAP, accounting for complex transactions and internal controls in compliance with SOX
- Strong knowledge, understanding, and practical skills in relevant systems (i.e., ERP system (SAP preferred), MS Office products,) as applicable to the country.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand complex data and issues and proactively develop solutions.
- Consulting skills, including the ability to draw on the ideas of key team members and convert them into meaningful plans.
- Interpersonal skills that establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility quickly. Creates team atmosphere while achieving key objectives.
- Demonstrates understanding of how key accounting decisions impact the business units and forecasted operating results/cash flows.
- Intermediate in English (read and written)

- Strong knowledge, understanding, and practical skills in SAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot table, VLOOKUP, macro)
