Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a

- _will be responsible for Global Trade Compliance projects and ensuring that industry best practices are implemented in conjunction with established Flex compliance procedures.

What a typical day looks like:

- Develop, conduct, and administrate trainings
- Site TCCS and stake holders including engineering, program management, materials, logistics, among others
- Implementing Playbooks for classification in all operating sites to replicate controls already established in Mexico
- Ensure 100% completeness of classification SOPS from all operating sites
- Manage, support, & lead Classification Validations and Assessments/Audits to identify the accuracy/inaccuracies and quality of certified classifiers’ work and outcomes.
- Support the Global Trade Classification Sr Manager and other Classification experts globally with Customer & Supplier Classification analysis for disputes and differences on a global and regional scale.
- Support and collaborate with origin reviews for business opportunities, new projects and customer requests related to mitigate import duties, taxes, tariffs and comply with export controls
- USMCA, CAFTA, ALADI, South Cone trade agreement, 301 USTR, substantial transformation
- Buy American, Buy America, SEMA, TAA
- Perform Classification determinations as a backup to the Global Classification Services group during international holidays and when Classification advice and guidance is required
- With special focus on US and Canada classifications only as Mexico, Brazil and Costa Rica already have a local team or certified classification resources
- Coordinate and lead classification and regulatory workshops, Trade compliance QBRS and conferences with Customers, TCCS, Program Management, Customs Brokers, and Global Trade
- For having better understanding and knowledge of products, processes, and projects
- All projects, products, and processes compliant with local country and the International Trade Regulations

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, International Business, engineering, or Business Administration is required / related experience
- Experience specifically with Export Control Classification numbers, (ECCN and USML categories), International trade regulatory requirements Schedule B classification or HTSUS classification
- Experience with research classifications, and rulings in online databases.
- Capable of interpreting laws and translating them into business practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively throughout the organization.
- Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance and human resource procedures. Significant project management experience within a compliance environment is required.
- In-depth knowledge of international trade and transactional requirements relative to applicable government regulations including licensing, permits, documentation, customs compliance, and use of foreign trade zones.
- Attention to detail, and diligence, within a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced level of English, capable of holding conversations with a high level of complexity and technicality
