Kawasaki Motores de México we are hiring**: Purchasing Supervisor**

**Purpose of the position**:
Supervise and coordinate activities and performance of personnel in the purchasing department. Implement purchasing strategies that align with the objectives of the organization, including quality, delivery and cost.

**Activities**:

- The Purchasing Supervisor will be the responsible for the good performance of the people in charge (administrate, lead, supervise & follow up).
- To supervise, lead, follow up and administrate and be responsible for the good performance of their activities for the people in charge.
- Develop tasks to achieve departmental objectives that support company goals, measuring outcome and reporting as required.
- Create, evaluate and update standardized best practices to meet department and/or production goals.
- Prepare and distribute reports explaining department initiatives and activities used to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities may include interviewing, employee selection, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Negotiate and administer contracts with suppliers and other representatives to create opportunities that increase the competitive positions of both parties.
- Serves in an advisory capacity to assist other departments in obtaining the proper specifications
- Manage and evaluate the performance of suppliers, direct, indirect and service providers.
