**Job Description**:
BASIC POSITION FUNCTION:
Assists in development of technology focused projects through to the production phase, leveraging technical knowledge in areas of specialty. Provide technology expertise in area of specialty for the site and Region. Develop solutions integrating technical expertise, robust problem-solving methodologies and fostering a culture of innovation improving the performance of Chromalloy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/TASKS:
**Leadership**
- Participates / co-chairs in Community of Practice(s)
- Works with local site resources to assist in technology development projects to full production capability, resulting in transfer and full ownership of final project deliverables by local site.
- Role model in terms of professional behaviors and personal accountability.
- Adhere to and lead by example, all Company health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Provide technical planning leadership by setting technology project priorities based upon company goals, anticipated industry trends, and emerging technology.
- Engage with others inside and outside of Chromalloy to provide a technical leadership presence

**Technology Development**
- Participates in technical discussions with key customers and related program office
- Utilize Management Operating System tools to assist with integration of COP technology into production processes.
- Partner with manufacturing operations ensuring effective implementation of technology projects is accomplished.
- Provide technical guidance for implementation of new technologies into the operational environment that effectively drive improvements in business metrics.
- Provide accurate reports/presentations to management pertaining to impact of technology projects.
- Present outcome of projects/technologies to internal and external customers.

**Process Optimization**
- Continually review and improve technical engineering processes as they relate to area of specialty.
- Promote Operational Excellence through utilization of a robust problem-solving methodology and technical expertise.
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment by enforcing and supporting 5S principles.
- Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.
- Ensure compliance with Company IPM/QPM and ISO-9000 quality requirements.
- Ensure management compliance with MOS Principals.

**Coaching/Mentoring**
- Provide a guiding role, teaching and instructing within the site and region to effect knowledge transfer.
- Be a trainer within area of focus to multiple functions and levels across the corporation.
- Traveling to Chromalloy sites worldwide, as required.
- Communicate with all levels within the Engineering Organization ensuring consistent knowledge transfer.
- Performing other tasks in the facility, the region and the corporation, as needed

**SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/PROFICIENCIES**:

- Demonstrated expertise and proven track record in the design, development, and manufacturing of fixtures in support of airfoil production machining.
- Leverage 3D CAD, additive manufacturing, and tooling design experience to optimize and automate when needed component fixturing and minimize setups.
- Create Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) programs for multi axis machining using NX/CAM, EasyGrind, and other tools with special emphasis in milling, turning, grinding, and EDM machining.
- Influence and collaborate globally in complex manufacturing engineering projects with colleagues and vendors across different time-zones and cultures
- Hand on machine shop experience preferred
- Knowledge of turbine operating principles, design concepts and manufacturing practices
- Company expert in multi axis CNC programming, workholding fixturing design, and manufacturing.
- Interpretation of engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications
- Knowledge of Industry regulatory protocols requirements and compliance testing preferred
- Understanding of Legal compliance and export control
- Understanding of financial budgetary constraints and practices
- Capable of developing and monitoring program budgets and timelines
- Thoughtful and effective communications skills
