- Central point of contact for suppliers for plant functions and global purchasing organization.
- Active development and support of global supplier strategies.
- Negotiate long-term agreements encompassing all commercial terms like incoterms, payment terms, long term productivity reductions, etc.
- Research and identify new potential suppliers.
- Monitor and understand current market conditions and react accordingly.
- Prepare and send RFQ/RFIs for commodity projects.
- Knowledge of contractual and legal aspects
- Maintain consistent communication with suppliers to ensure RFQ timelines are met.
- Self-reliant individual managing day-to-day and strategic activities to ensure quality/cost/delivery.
- Good understanding of business practices, market dynamics and trends.
- Evaluate blocked invoices and resolve discrepancies related to price or quantity differences.
- Will report directly to corporate purchasing but will be located in the Cortazar, Mexico.

**Qualifications**
- Fluent English
- College degree
- Strong procurement background
- Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing purchasing environment, preferably in automotive.
- Able to travel to the US and other countries as required.
- Strong operational and analytical skills with high attention to details.
- Experience with a MRP system

**Salary**: $1,000.00 per day
