**About LINC**
In Mexico, LINC is currently implementing the USAID/Mexico Monitoring and Evaluation Support for Adaptation (MESA) Activity. The purpose of MESA is to strengthen the monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) and collaborating, learning, and adapting (CLA) systems and capacity of USAID and its implementing partner organizations in Mexico. MESA will support USAID and its implementing partners through three components: Monitoring; Evaluations, Assessments and Studies; and Collaboration and Capacity Strengthening.
**Position Description**
LINC seeks English and Spanish Copyeditors to support with proofreading and revising reports, infographics, PowerPoints and other materials. The Copyeditors will focus primarily on ensuring deliverables are free from grammar, spelling, punctuation, and other mistakes, and will also support with report (re-)organization, as needed to improve clarity and flow.
This is expected to be an ongoing consultancy with ad hoc/as needed engagements over the next four years. On average, the consultant will be asked to review one document per month of approximately 30 pages and two-three shorter documents (though this will vary).
Graduate students and early career professionals with an interest in international development are encouraged to apply.
**Responsibilities**
- Review and revise reports, infographics, PowerPoints, and other materials for accuracy and quality, including proofreading spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
- Review reports and other materials to identify unclear language, incomplete information, or other areas for the author to improve, and/or suggest improvements to the organization and content.
- Ensure correct tone, voice, clarity, flow, and structure of content.
- Ensure adherence to LINC and USAID style guides.
- Ensure appropriate use of citations.
**Skills and Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in international development, social sciences, Spanish, or a related field. Current graduate students are also welcome to apply.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills required.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to perform under tight timelines.
- Prior experience in international development and/or monitoring, evaluation, and learning is preferred.
- Prior experience on USAID projects is preferred.
