Eaton’s EPG LAC PD Power Distribution division is currently seeking a Accounting Analyst.

**What you’ll do**:
This position is directly responsible for preparing all necessary entries during and at the end of the month, as well as preparing reconciliations related to inventory.

Is fully responsible for maintaining inventory accounting, tracking and performing all activities related to inventory accuracy and financial management, i.e. cost accrual, cycle count audit, external warehouses audits, coordination of annual physical inventory, analysis and determination of material in transit, daily inventory transactions, analysis and control of excesses, obsoletes and exclusions. This position also responsible for analyzing, determining and registering the required inventory reserves on a monthly basis.
- Monitoring of standard cost changes in Mapics and Global Vista.
- New items in Mapics and Global Vista.
- Validation of items free of charge.
- Validation of non-negatives in inventory.
- Coordination and execution of cost roll up.
- Audit bills of materials and routes.
- Analyze and determine inventory in transit.
- Organize annual physical inventories, cycle counts and manage the E&O inventory process.
- Coordinate the destruction of obsolete material.
- Coordinate and execute audits to internal and external warehouses.
- Achieve the precision of cycle counts equal to or greater than 95%, according to Policy.
- Provide accounts in the case of inventory movements by manual transactions, as well as grant the corresponding authorizations.
- Freeze the inventory during the closing of the month and carry out the corresponding procedures to obtain electronic evidence of the value of the inventory.
- Audit inventory transactions, to ensure they are correct and appropriate.
- Reconcile inventory accounts by origin/accounts, including inventories in transit.
- Make daily reports determining inventory.
- Integrate the various areas in the processes and procedures related to inventory (SCM, Planning, Purchasing, Sales, etc.).
- Prepare financial and statistical inventory reports.
- Tracking aging of inventory transactions.
- Audit of inventory locations.
- Analysis and determination of monthly inventory reserves.
- Assist in journal processing and account reconciliation in the Encore Finance system, with fully supported and accurate details allowing for balance reviews.
- Comply with any other activity assigned by your supervisor or special company requirements.
- Active participation in continuous improvement programs and committees (ideas program, kaizen events, 5'S, Tier meeting and Gemba Walk).
- Comply with the Eaton Business System (EBS), in fundamentals, Planning, Growth, Functional Excellence, Evaluation and Learning, mainly in the Eaton Business Excellence (EBE); ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 and its tools (such as: Eaton Quality System (EQS), Eaton Lean System and Six Sigma-ELS, HR Operating Review and Employee Survey.
- Know and comply with the Policies: Global Ethics, Values and Philosophy, Environmental Management, Safety and Health (MESH).
- Compliance with MESH and monitoring of policies and goals
- Support MESH to achieve environmental and safety related goals and objectives
- Support for the maintenance of SSA for the care of the environment
- Carry out MESH activities
- Report any unsafe act or condition.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Administration or related field from an accredited institution required.
- Minimum of 1 years prior Accounting, Financial Cost administration positions experience in electrical industry; or related product and manufacturing environment.
- Intermediate knowledge Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Basic knowledge MAPICS, AS400, Oracle.
- Must have basic level verbal and written English skills required.
