**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
A Platform Engineer that is focused on providing solutions and value using Splunk will....

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **Identify new Splunk technology platform capabilities **for best fit purpose, and outline options for cost effective, incremental, and resilient implementation approach.
- **Data architecture**:Develop efficient data ingestion strategies, including data parsing, normalization, and enrichment. Design and optimize data models to support effective searching, reporting, and analysis.
- **Automation and scripting**:Utilize Python scripting skills to automate data retrieval and enhance the efficiency of Splunk service consumption reporting.
- **Provide specialized knowledge **and expertise in maximize the value of Splunk in the Takeda landscape.

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelors’ Degree, from an accredited institution in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of proven experience in Splunk knowledge object creation, including dashboards, reports, alerts, macros, and data models.
- Solid expertise in Splunk Processing Language (SPL) and advanced search techniques.
- Extensive experience in IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) build-out, including services, entities, KPIs, and notable events.
- Data Engineering core capabilities; SQL and Python programming, optimization of large data sets, data pipelines, and understanding of ETL tools.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and security concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with multifunctional teams.
