The Marketing BI Analyst is responsible for analyzing sales, marketing, and finance data to provide insight to key decision-makers within the marketing leadership team and beyond. This player will need to identify trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences and make action-oriented recommendations based on findings. Regular outputs will include reporting and analysis from various system reporting tools, building and distributing a data dictionary of common definitions to share across departments, testing the defining calculations in our sales and marketing data, ad hoc analysis for special projects, mapping data workflows and highlighting areas of transformation, developing a roadmap for integrations and improvements, communication to stakeholders on upcoming projects.

What You’ll Do:

- Using SQL or Excel, perform data compilation from various sources for both scheduled, and ad hoc requests
- Regularly improve and evangelize marketing reporting self-service tools, including collecting feedback and requirements from stakeholders
- Assist with master data strategy for marketing data to create a single source of truth within our various systems
- Understand and map the upstream and downstream data connections associated with each of our technology integrations
- Work with IT, Finance, Marketing Operations, Sales Operations, and Sales Leaders to gain understanding of data workflows, potential improvements, and ownership
- Focus on global customer and prospect data for profile completeness and data accuracy to enable Marketing for cross selling and upselling initiatives
- Keen project management skills to ensure projects are kept on time, involving appropriate decision-making groups
- Ability to communicate across multiple teams and departments to bring them together to complete projects

What You Need to Succeed:

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to interpret data into insights for decision making.
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn standard Sales and Marketing data sets that exist inside Salesforce.
- Knowledge of SQL (Tableau experience a plus)
- 2+ years applicable experience, bachelor’s degree preferred.
