Purpose Statement: Responsible for monitoring and controlling a portion of a site's material in Receiving, Kitting, Work In Process (WIP), Non-Conforming Materials (NCM), and Shipping.

Key Job Accountabilities:

- Facilitate the identification and communication of hard component shortages and identify/resolve soft component shortages in partnership with the Purchasing Department in order to maintain accurate documentation and to arrange for the supply of additional units as required to meet customer needs.
- Anticipate and implement new process improvements, including proactive communication and required stakeholder management designed to ensure support from all impacted parties.
- Responsible for managing all raw, WIP, and FG inventory. This includes the areas of receiving, warehouse, deployment, and NCM and includes the functions of cycle count, inventory control, and material control. This position may also be responsible for receiving inspection and MRO. The primary goal is to ensure schedules are met, operate all areas of responsibility efficiently and effectively, and meet SOP, WI, site, and corporate requirements.
- Develop and monitor compliance with 5S procedures in each work area/function in order to ensure compliance with expectations and maintain quality work output.
- Supervise assigned warehouse team in the delivery of effective day-to-day operations. Build individual and team capability through the completion of performance assessments, employee development plans and compensation management in order to appropriately recognize and retain talent.
- Accountable to execute on Plexus’ Best People strategy, leaders will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning and ensuring that their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.

Additional Accountabilities:

- Administration and resolution of the raw, WIP, and floor stock cycle counting process.
- Ensure all month end activities in the department are completed accurately and on time.
- Work with accounting to ensure system accuracy.
- Define job descriptions and metrics for each position within Receiving, Shipping, Non-Conforming Materials, and WIP to provide employees with defined responsibilities.
- Manage work schedules and monitor overtime requests. Handle all payroll and time off requests, as needed.
- Develop and monitor metrics and ensure department is meeting metrics as defined.
- Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, or other related field is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Five (5) years of related experience is required; Three (3) or more years of related experience is preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

Other Qualifications:

- Intermediate computer skills.
- Excellent decision making, problem solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The employee must be willing to work additional hours from time to time as dictated by business conditions and quarterly sales plans.
- The employee needs to have a sound understanding of inventory and material control process and have the ability to consistently evaluate process improvement opportunities.
- The employee must be self-motivated with the ability to follow through on assignments with little to no supervision.
- The employee must possess the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are paramount for the employee to successfully perform in this position.

Work Environment:

- The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
