When you are a HR Assistant ant AISG, you will be working in a collaborative team environment serving as support to our employees in an administrative capacity. This position resolves Human Resources-related problems and ensures effective use of plans and positive employee relations. The Human Resources Assistant ensures that certain plans are administered in accordance with local regulations and that plan provisions are followed. This role provides administrative support to the Human Resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry. The HR Assistant would be working alongside our HR Assistant and reporting to and working under the direction of our HR Head of People. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who can relate to individuals at all levels within the organization. This position also requires a high standard of professionalism and an engaging personality as the HR Administrator will serve as the primary point of contact for management and employees regarding Human Resources inquiries.
- What do you need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field;
- 2+ years of experience working in the Human Resources function in a multi-location organization.
- Basic knowledge of the principles and practices of human resource administration.
- Basic understanding of local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Publisher.
- Bilingual Spanish and English
- What will you do
- Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all staff; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
- Maintains employee records to include training sessions, evaluation, new employee data, data changes and terminations. Compiles reports as needed.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates hiring qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Organizes and presents at new employee orientation to ensure that new employees feel prepared to begin their employment and process the necessary paperwork to meet deadlines.
- Maintains all employee databases and HR relevant files according to accepted rules of legal complains and develops necessary reporting for the team as required.
- Assists with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status.
- Administrator of employee recognition events.
- Maintains security badges for employees and contractors.
- Plans and supports company-wide information meetings as needed.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- General HR support and assistance with HR projects, as assigned.
