Responsible for developing and monitoring current and new suppliers to deliver components to the required quality, on time, to the specifications of the drawings provided during Advanced Quality Planning for new projects with suppliers, performing audits and monitoring in conjunction with purchasing from the negotiation stages to the start of production.
- Responsible for the development of Quality Assurance Assurance for new launches in conjunction with global supplier management and corporate supplier development.
- Responsible for planning, executing and measuring the effectiveness of supplier and potential supplier audits using quality system assessments and standards.
- Lead with the Supplier Quality Engineer, follow-up corrective action meetings for supplier issues.
- Responsible for submitting supplier incident quality indicator assessments and monthly PPMs.
- Participate in decision making related to supplier and component quality, in conjunction with Product and Quality Engineering.
- Responsible for the development of skills and competencies to the Supplier Quality Engineer, transferring technical knowledge through internal training.
- Participate in the development of AMEF documentation.
- Responsible for using improvement tools in their work areas and with suppliers to develop continuous improvement projects or cost reductions.
