**JOB DUTIES**:The primary responsibility of this position is to design and develop the optimized the LMT Supply Network in collaboration with MX manufacturing facilties, RISM, and other necessary process partners. They lead the supply network optimization and design through improvement projects, ensure PFEP reflects the engineered value chain, and participate as team member for inbound and outbound logistics planning projects for their area of responsibility. Provide technical support during start-up activities and provide ongoing strategic support.

Reporting directly to the LMT Value Chain Manager, this role will undertake specific EVC/NPI responsibility and accountability. It will lead the implementation of Product Group strategies while collaborating to align the Category management supply strategies that will create a competitive advantage for our customers by developing, optimizing, and integrating a world-class supply network.

Strategy - Through a strong knowledge of the product quality, NPI, and Category Strategies the incumbent will sponsor, support, and participate in both LMT product and RISM initiates. Drive supply network collaboration for developing new products (NPI), and/or enhancing Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) efforts and/or creating valued new services by leveraging their leading technologies and business knowledge.

Customers - Manage product expectations for LMT Value Chain, to deliver benefits required to sustain a competitive advantage. The role will require a good communicator capable of keeping the CAT facilties and RISM fully informed of progress and working closely with both to ensure all requirements are met. This role will interface with the local operations management to ensure alignment of strategies and manage expectations.

**BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE**:The position requires a bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering. In addition, two to four years of job-related experience are required.

The position requires an engineering or manufacturing background plus familiarity with manufacturing processes used to produce components and assemblies for Caterpillar Products.

Knowledge of shop operations and maintenance procedures is required.

Good human relation/communication skills as well as possess the potential for leadership is required to develop a cooperative working relationship with others both inside and outside of Caterpillar. Proficiency in English is required, Local site language preferred

Previous fabrications or castings manufacturing experience of 2-4 years is highly desired

Quality Engineering certification is highly desirable.

Knowledge of the tools and techniques of 6 Sigma methodology is highly desired

TRAVEL: 15-25% depending on work location
