Skilled Fine Arts Illustrator

Who we are: Pepperberry is a Startup digital publishing company, focusing on inhouse made graphic novels, digital artworks, and illustrations.
- Illustrator - fulltime:
The Illustrator works with the story team to understand the visual needs of the story and create highly detailed character design images that help define the look of the story and focus on delivering high quality concept art for the characters within the story. Additionally, create dramatic and dynamic illustrations to visualize important story moments.
- Responsibilities:

- Creating illustrations based on story references for each assigned project
- Plan concept by studying information and materials
- Good fine art knowledge in generating ideas and design
- A keen aesthetic sense, a sense of proportion, and an eye for composition, realism, texture, color, and lighting
- Interpret concept art and sketches to create virtual characters, environments, and props
- Create narrative art that brings story to life through illustrated characters and storytelling
- Requirements:

- Strong graphic design / illustration skills
- A solid understanding of what makes a great image and the skill to execute it
- Great at brainstorming, taking direction and collaborating
- Interest/passion for graphics/arts
- Experience telling stories through dynamic and dramatic illustrations
- Experience developing highly realistic character designs
- Ability to develop ideas through sketches, take feedback, and take the sketches to a high level of finish
- Experience in related design and graphic software & media
- A portfolio showcasing numerous examples of current or/and recent best works
- Working on copyright protected materials/assignments, full credit but with work-for-hire clause apply. Full ownership and rights of copyrights reverts to company on all works done. Legal agreement & contract must be signed for each project.

**Salary**: From $15,000.00 per month
