**Pricing Analyst North America**

Purpose of role: Support the Commercial divisions in making informed pricing decisions by conducting data analysis of the market & corridor and pricing recommendations

Role details:

- Assist with development and articulate firm-wide consumer, agent, competitor strategies delineated by corridor and informed by the following:o
- Price sensitivity of key market participants (consumers and agents)
- Regional differences (based on market structure, agent mix, system constraints,etc.)
- Competitive mix, behaviours and intensity
- Ongoing oversight, development and maintenance of the transaction and competitor pricedatabases
- Build insights on price elasticities for consumers and agents through price testing, marketresearch and analysis of price moves
- Build and run scenario models to enable the evaluation of potential pricing moves onvolumes and margins
- Build internal reporting to demonstrate financial and pricing performance as well to deliverinsights on consumer and competitive pricing trends
- Run ongoing communications processes to enable sharing of insights as well as the reviewand agreement of price changes
- Design and develop internal reports that enable management to understand pricingperformance and monitor P&L impact of pricing strategies
- Work with the regions to build insights on:

- Customer and agent needs and behaviours
- Customer and agent price sensitivities
- Customer value to Small World Financial Services
- Competitive prices and behaviours
- Work with each regional team to develop
- Competitive, agenda and consumer pricing strategies by corridor
- Pricing processes for reporting, analysis and decisions making
- Develop and share pricing best practices across the organisation
- Leverage knowledge of segment specific price elasticity to
- Optimise prices based on segment specific customer elasticity
- Model revenue impact under different scenarios
- Model customer value over time

Person Specification
- 2-3 yrs pricing experience; previous experience in a payments market would be a benefit, but not a requirement
- In a dynamic environment where prices change several times per day
- In an environment with multiple sales channels (e.g. online, telesales, retail outlets,etc)
- B2B and B2C pricing environments
- Confident in using a broad range of techniques used to measure customer price elasticity and the ability to choose the method best suited to measuring elasticity based on the data available
- Excellent analytical abilities, able to manage and interrogate large datasets (e.g. using SQL,
- R, Python and/ or Tableau) to extract actionable pricing insights
- Ability to draw these insights together to articulate a coherent pricing strategy
- Experience of developing and testing segment specific price elasticity hypotheses using live price tests (e.g. A/B testing)
- Displays a commercial mindset - able to identify opportunities to improve businessstrategy, performance, etc. and optimise risk-reward outcome
- Experience working with and challenging stakeholders at all levels of an organisation,including at the executive level
- Able to work across multiple teams, offices, time zones
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Team-player with excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education
- 2:1 (or equivalent) degree from well recognised university required;
- Degree in quantitative field preferred (maths, statistics and/ or economics)
