The Program Implementation Team is a cross-functional team having the primary responsibility to implement and manage the plans required to launch vehicle programs from
through
+ 45 days. The ME, as a tooling expert works with cross-functional teams for virtual assessment of new design architecture to meet DFM/DFA standards in order to deliver tooling build requirements, including SOW’s and VTTO metal, for new vehicle programs by scheduling and delivering tooling buyoffs, installation, and Safety Protag events at both, vendor shop and plant floor and drive the resolution of technical field concerns to achieve launch Exit Criteria, including run at rate, ergonomics, safety, labor targets, overall throughput, production tooling & process capability data (Pp/Ppk) as well as to achieve welding certification and compile program Lessons Learned. As a resident launch engineer, will service the home plant, but is prone to be required for support at any other Ford location (domestic or international).

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- Fluent English level
- Bachelor of Science Degree (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering are preferred)
- Tooling knowledge (Practical experience preferred)
- Knowledge of statistics
- Data driven with good problem-solving techniques
- Ability to work with mínimal direct supervision
- Ability to operate in stressful situations within timing constraints.

**PREFERRED TRAINING REQUIREMENTS**:

- AutoCAD
- Team Center
- BCF required training course work
- Greenbelt / Blackbelt (preferred)
- BOM / BOP
- Joining fundamentals
- Basics for GD&T and Dimensional Analysis

**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:

- CAD experience required
- Teamcenter experience desired
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- Strong verbal & written communication and presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of statistics (control charts, data collecting, etc.).
- Experience w/tooling, processes and facilities desired

**LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION DUTIES**:

- Provide manufacturing engineering leadership throughout a new model development program beginning at
through
+ 45 days
- Evaluate manufacturing feasibility using CAD tools to evaluate joint design, flange lengths, weld gun access, design gaps and clearances, etc.
- Lead assembly tooling strategies, bid package, procurement, supplier management, design and build, installation and prove out at the assembly site.
- Provide mechanical equipment direction for safety, maintenance and production consideration.
- Provide process and mechanical design direction and follow up.
- Perform tool buy-off and debug of tools to support maintenance and production.
- Implementation of new/modified tooling and facilities based on product and process changes.
- Interface with cross-functional (PD, STA, MP&L, NMP, etc.) activities
- Write/modify/maintain process sheets as required post
- Prepare and lead management presentations from post-

- Identify and drive resolution of manufacturing related issues (i.e., AIMS/VIMS)
- Lead issue resolution and reporting for Body - related quality issues
- Drive quality, cost, and labor improvements
- Support new model launches on site at assembly plants (Canada, Mexico, US) as required for extended periods of time.
