**About Visteon**

**SQL Server DBA Lead**

**Job Purpose**

We are looking for an experienced SQL Server DBA Lead to join our team As a SQL Server DBA Lead you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of ‘Plant’ and ‘Manufacturing’ critical SQL Server databases.
This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

**Key Job Responsibilities**
- Be able to technically lead, guide and be a consultant for a distributed team of SQL server DBAs
- Be an expert (advise, consult, and as needed get hands-on) with SQL server databases
- Be able to define and create high availability SQL Server databases based on customer requirements working with infrastructure team
- Be an expert in windows clustering
- Be an expert in Always on Availability Groups
- Be able to define and enhance data archival strategies
- Be able to define and enhance strategies for backups and restore
- Be able to define and implement controls, health checks and monitors
- Be able to ensure DB audit and control compliance
- Be able to tune databases and queries with a high level of concurrency
- Be able to define and enhance SQL server ETL strategies
- Be able to develop strategies and monitors to provide 24X7 support for plant and manufacturing critical production systems

**Technical Capabilities**
- Expert in managing high availability SQL Server database management
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server Service Broker implementation
- Hands-on experience with Always on Availability Groups

**Critical experiences required to be ready for this job**
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Math, or quantitative field
- 8+ years of experience managing high availability SQL server databases as a DBA
- 8+ years of experience with Performance tuning and optimization of databases
- 8+ years of experience with backups, restores and recovery models
- 8+ years of experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options
- 8+ years of experience with Windows server
- 8+ years of experience with Transactional and Data Warehouse databases
- **Experience with SQL Server Service Broker implementation is a plus**:

- **Oracle Database management experience is a plus**:

- **Microsoft SQL Server certification is a plus**

**Special/regulatory requirements - if any**:

- SQL server certifications
