**In one sentence**:
Operations Coordinator covers all aspects of use of buildings, operation, repair and general administration associated with managing campus facilities. He/she will work closely with Facilities Supervisor to coordinate the day-to-day operational activities and all daily communication between customers, team members, agents, and vendor partners; focusing on using best business practice to improve efficiency and ensuring that the office has the most suitable working environment for its employees and their activities.

**What will your job look like?**:

- Coordinates, under the direction of Facilities Supervisor, the day-to-day operational activities to ensure that all tasks and procedures are being followed properly and timely; Suggests and/or implements changes to increase the efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness of business operations
- Coordinate communication between internal units and external vendors / suppliers
- Provides guidance to service vendors responsible for completing repairs, upkeep, supply ordering and general services following the direction of the Facilities Supervisor and agreement terms and conditions.
- Complete and maintain accurate data entry records with regards to activities, services, repairs, office inventory, supplies & materials, etc.
- Escalate/ work with internal customers on any unresolved/open cases and push to bring closure
- Perform daily walkthrough checks and provide general office maintenance and organization of meeting rooms, workstations, supply rooms, printer areas, ensure the kitchens are cleaned and stocked
- Responsible for maintaining the Environmental Health and Safety files up to date to ensure full compliance with Corporate and Statutory requirements; Be a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) of the site
- Ensure that the management team is provided with accurate, timely and relevant reporting and key performance indicators and additional assistance as needed
- Effectively communicate and/or escalate issues as needed to Facilities Management
- Coordinate and execute special events for the site
- Act as back up coverage to Facilities Supervisor as required
- Build and maintain Excel reports as needed and performs other duties as assigned

- 2 to 5 years work experience as an Operations Coordinator or similar role
- Ability to work as a team member and independently
- Accurate and attentive to detail
- Proven experience in customer service and proactive
- Possess strong written, verbal and interpersonal people skills
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and work without direct supervision
- Expertise in MS Office (Excel, Power Point and Word) and ability to maintain data
- Ability to operate in a team environment and support team by taking on new challenges
- Strong organizational skills and collaborative style
