Asqe Engineer

**General description**:
Lead product quality activities with suppliers. Responsible for existing and new supplier assessments, support in the selection and development of new suppliers, resolves supplier design, gauging, manufacturing, processing, assembly packaging issues.

Conducts launch readiness reviews with suppliers to determine and ensure their production readiness prior to start of production. Acts as coach/mentor and project liaison ensuring Dura’s requirements are clearly communicated understood and met.
- Support Manufacturing, Quality Manager, Materials Manager, Product Engineering and Project Engineering as necessary for supplied product.
- Track/improve supplier performance including Delivery, PPM< Quality and Corrective actions ( first response-24 hours, chosen permanent corrective action-14 Days).
- Provide monthly reporting of each supplier to Quality and Plant Manager.
- Perform on-site review at suppliers for corrective action implementation, and compliance to work instructions, FMEA and Control Plans. Reviews could be deemed necessary in regards to supplier performance.
- Schedule regular review meetings with selected suppliers to insure program quality requirements are being met. This includes PM Schedules, tooling conditions

- Review assessments, policies, procedures, PPAP documentation and support training of PPAP requirements.
- Communication with supplier and appropriate Dura CFT in regards to supplier performance.
- Build a strong working relationship with supply base.
- Direct customer interface for quality related issues. Will be required to travel to various supplier locations.
