**Your Role**

At Aptiv, we are dedicated to developing innovative solutions that make transportation safer, greener, and more connected. As a DevOps Expert, your primary responsibility will be to bridge the gap between software development and operations teams by implementing and maintaining efficient and automated processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline the software development lifecycle, improve deployment processes, and enhance overall system reliability and performance. Your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality software products and services. Your day to day will consist of the following:
**Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD)**:

- Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate software builds, testing, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and updates into the software development lifecycle.
- Identify and implement CI/CD best practices, tools, and technologies to improve efficiency and productivity.

Release Management:

- Collaborate with development and operations teams to define release strategies and coordinate software releases.
- Ensure the stability and reliability of production environments by implementing effective release management practices.
- Develop and maintain version control systems, branching strategies, and release documentation.

Monitoring and Incident Management:

- Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and other system-related incidents.
- Respond to and resolve production incidents in a timely manner, coordinating with relevant teams to minimize downtime and impact on users.
- Perform root cause analysis and contribute to post-incident reviews to identify areas of improvement and prevent future incidents.

Collaboration and Communication:

- Foster collaboration and effective communication between development, operations, and other cross-functional teams to promote a DevOps culture.
- Provide guidance and support to development teams regarding DevOps practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the DevOps space, evaluating and recommending their adoption where appropriate.

**Your Background**

Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:

- **Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field**:

- **Bilingual - proficient in English speaking/reading/writing**:

- **Proven experience working as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.**:

- **Strong knowledge of CI/CD principles and experience with related tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI).**:

- **Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Ruby).**:

- **Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and associated orchestration tools.**:

- **Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their respective services.**:

- **Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration concepts.**:

- **Proficient in implementing and managing monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).**:

- **Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.**:

- **Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams**
