**Description**:
**Activities**
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and communicate key initiatives and messages to their site and region
- Motivate and empower the team to take ownership in their processes and drive continuous improvement
- Build and grow a strong safety culture to assure employee safety is always highest priority every day and, in any task, performed
- Establish priorities with partners at site and manage activities and resources based on those priorities
- Implement and effectively utilize new technologies and processes
- Ensure alignment of cross functional expectations
- Ensure alignment of cross functional expectations
- Collaborate with other Mexico R&D Centers to optimize processes and responsibilities to assure delivery for Mexico, US, Canada and European breeding programs and strategies, as well as other groups who are dependent on the site
- Identify and manage issues associated with maintaining ability to operate within local community as well as local, regional, and federal policies and laws
- Drive continuous improvement at the site and regularly share key findings and opportunities with other sites to assure consistency and/or standardization to achieve expected results while maintaining costs per unit of production at reasonable and sustainable levels
- Deliver against R&D expectations for quality, quantity, and timing
- Recognize individual and team accomplishments
- Delegate operational leadership and responsibilities as appropriate
- Forecast budget and capital needs based on workload and delivery
- Identify and build a talent pipeline for the site
- Assure development planning, coaching and critical conversations are occurring, plans are professional development plans are documented and progress is made
- Assure strong relationship with Meso-Andean business teams
- Build industry relations with regional, country, and local agriculture groups
- Be involved with community events, media, etc.as appropriate and within the strategies of Corteva

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of five years of demonstrated success in people leadership, experience withmanagement of a complex site including successful management of full-time employees and seasonal staff
- Proven success in building a strong safety and ethics culture
- Strong decision-making, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of seed product development processes
- Strong computer skills related to data acquisition, organization, and analysis
- Broad knowledge of crop production and farming practices
- Agronomy, breeding or relevant degree: PhD or master's degree preferred or Bachelor's Degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience
- Spanish and English fluency
- Consistent demonstration of excellent communication skills
- Good working knowledge of research operations
- Ability to delegate
- Valid Driver's License. Driving record will be reviewed and must meet Corteva expectations
- Ability to lead leaders and influence/collaborate cross-functionally
