**Description**:
You will be responsible for design maintenance, technical support, quality upgrades, and cost saving opportunities for electronic PCBAs used in current "in production" products. In addition, it will support the validation activities of the electronic PCBAs necessary for the new products. You will participate in our product development process, identify quality improvement opportunities and solutions, support prototyping, launching new designs, and producing new products. Analyze and solve problems related to the electrical performance of equipment and fixtures, as well as continuous improvement to increase the FPY, active and direct participation in the root cause analysis of field problems. Design / propose changes to the design, test plan, equipment, and test fixtures. Your principal partners will be cross-functional design teams at multiple locations and our production operations. You will be expected to be self-directed at times, and a team member on other occasions. This is a growing organization with a strategic focus on electronics. Individuals with leadership capabilities will have an opportunity advance beyond this role.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Supporting Current Product**
- Support production operations, including production deviations and technical support
- Analyze production line defects. Identify root causes and corrective actions
- FPY Improvement goals / targets - Leading
- Support SMT, Selective and Wave Solder process Improvements like, Yield increase and scrap reduction.
- Support PCBA prototypes including Solder paste printing, Solder paste

inspection, Pick and place, reflow and PCBA inspection.
- Execute projects and conduct lab experiments on products, assemblies, and components to determine root causes of production line.
- Evaluation of EOL components - effects on the test plan
- Understand the interaction between SW, HW and test environment.
- Analyze and create technical reports
- Technical Troubleshooting of failures - Leading
- Alternate Component Selection & Approval - Leading
- Change Management tracking / driving
- Initiate Engineering Change Notices

**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**:

- Knowledge and experience with analyzing Electronics designs - power supplies, power switching devices, analog and digital circuits, basic passive, and active components
- Familiarity with all phases of electronics development
- Project planning and leadership in a cross functional environment
- Electronic lab skills - prototype assembly, hardware debug, Root cause analysis and troubleshooting
- Comfortable using lab equipment (DMM, function generators, oscilloscopes, solder tools)
- Good communications skills are a must (both Spanish & English)
- Organized, dynamic, proactive, process driven. Ability to work independently
- Knowledge and experience with IPC A-610
- Knowledge and experience with UL-508A MTR (Manufacturer Technical Representative)
- It is a Plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years or experience in electronics design, electronics quality, or electronics product engineering
