Creative Assistant Internship

**INTERNSHIP PROGRAM**

As one of North America’s largest remanufacturers and suppliers of aftermarket products, Motorcar Parts of America, Inc. (MPA) employs over 3,000 people in eight locations across four countries.

MPA is currently seeking Interns to be part of an innovative Marketing Department for Automotive Products, located in Torrance, CA.

MPA has a limited number of exciting opportunities for paid interns in our Marketing Department as a **Creative Assistant**.

**Potential Responsibilities**:

- Will work from home to develop content for the MPA Marketing Department and Innovation Studio
- Primary duty will be to develop social media posts for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to promote the MPA and its affiliated brands
- Edit product brochures and collateral pieces in InDesign to support our marketing efforts
- Edit 4K videos created on our state-of-the-art Blackmagic video equipment located in our studio in Torrance, CA
- Assist in creation and editing of Apps and web content to support marketing efforts
- Gain experience in working with 3D animation and motion graphics
- Manipulate and enhance scanned or digital images to create desired effects, using computers and specialized software.

**Job requirements**:

- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud suite of software in a Mac environment, specifically:

- InDesign
- Illustrator
- Photoshop
- Adobe Lightroom
- Some experience in film editing is a plus, but not required. It would be a great learning environment
- Should have experience in developing social media, and be up-to-date on the latest social media trends
- Photography experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication and organizational skills

Qualified students will have excellent written and verbal skills, basic data analytics knowledge and strong problem solving skills; communication and time management skills preferred. Student must be self-motivated and have the ability to quickly learn.

**MPA will not sponsor applicants for work visas of any kind for this position.**

**This is a non-managerial position.**

**This is a paid intern position at $15 an hour.**

**Interns may only work 20 hours a week.**

**The internship period will last for 6 months, with a performance evaluation at the end of the 6 month period.**
