Team Overview:
Specifically, we are looking for a proven people and project manager to lead our Driver Partnerships team for Spanish-Speaking Latin America (SSL)..
The SSL Driver Partnerships team is a regional, cross-functional team responsible for the long-term retention of DiDi’s driver base in Latin America. Regional in scope, the mandate of this group is to build long-lasting, win-win relationships with external business partners to improve the experience and retention of drivers that connect to the DiDi platform. This role is ideal for someone looking to own a strategic vertical of the business, merge the worlds of operational excellence and commercial development, and manage a mid-sized team of high performing individual contributors. This leader will be the main advocate of the driver’s long-term experience both to our external business partners and to our various operational teams internally.
Role Responsibilities:
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Our Driver Partnerships Lead is responsible for developing and executing DiDi’s long term driver retention strategy across Spanish Speaking Latin America. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- **Owning the vision for driver long-term retention**: Develop a winning strategy to retain drivers and translate that into a clear commercial development plan. Act as the main advocate of drivers’ long-term experience with external partners and internal teams alike.
- **Translate that strategy into measurable results**: Manage a team that owns key partner relationships. Define a clear methodology to measure impact, and use that as a north star with all our business partners.
- **Managing multi-functional projects**: Execute projects with complex, multi-functional scope that stretch across departments within the organization. Be a relentless advocate for drivers’ experience throughout their lifecycle and translate that into specific priorities for teams across operations, product, and marketing.
- **Developing your team members**: Model a culture that prioritizes open feedback, ensures the best ideas come to light, and structures development opportunities for a team of high-performing individual contributors.

- **Clear strategic thinker**: You are able to navigate ambiguous, data-rich environments to define a strategic vision and structure it into actionable components for a team.
- **Relationship-centered negotiator**: You understand the value of building relationships with external partners and have a clear perspective on negotiation strategy..
- **Proven people and project manager**: You have a track-record managing multi-functional projects and are able to achieve results through resources that do not report directly to you. You have a proven history of managing a team of direct reports and developing key talent.
- **Detail-focused implementer**: You should be excited about experimenting, figuring out how to get things done yourself, and failing fast so that we can continuously improve. You thrive on executing a project, showing an impact, and moving onto the next challenge.
- **Data-driven manager**: The use of logic and data is central to your decision-making process. It is paramount to strategies you craft and decisions you make. You also have enough familiarity with analytical tools to manage a team who uses them day-to-day (e.g., SQL, Python, Power BI).
- **Fast mover**:You have demonstrated success in high-performance environments (e.g. experience in startups, finance, or management consulting).
- You are a university graduate (Bachelor required, Master preferred).
- You are business fluent in English and Spanish
