**The Role**:
The essence of the function is to close our month end accurately and as quickly as possible, produce the resulting P&L’s. For the remainder of the time be a data analysis centre of excellence for providing key information to stakeholders in the business.

**The opportunity in Mexico City will be remote. The opportunity in Monterrey, Mexico will require the individual to work onsite at the AMS Monterrey office 1-2 days a week.**

**Open to Internals outside of locations listed within the same country.**

There is a team of Management Accountants and Senior Management Accountant reporting into a Management Accounting Manager based in our Monterrey Office.

The Management Accountants are a key supplier of financial information both through regular reporting and ad hoc analysis. The team is also responsible for ensuring key financial processes are completed appropriately such as month end close, budgeting and forecasting.

The roles work in a matrix environment with regular interaction and alignment to Finance Business Partners in other physical locations.

To be successful in the role you may not yet have had extensive experience, but you should have some demonstrable experience of working in an accounting environment. You will also show a natural aptitude for being aware of the key issues within a management accounting role.

**Key Accountabilities**:
**Financial & Operational Excellence**
- Manage the closure of month end for the parts of the business you support in line with company deadlines
- Prepare account P&L’s and provide them to Finance Business Partners and P&L owners
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and minimize adjusting entries from period-to-period
- Help explain trends or variances to the Finance Business Partner responsible for client account

**Budgeting & Forecasting**
- Work with the Finance Business Partner to develop the timeline, framework and templates for monthly forecasting and annual budgeting
- Work with P&L owners to ensure forecast and budget are recorded accurately in AMS finance systems
- Provide backup support to budgeting processes as needed

**Ad Hoc Analysis**
- Provide analysis and information to the Finance Business Partners around areas such as:

- Cost analysis to support decisions around cost restructuring
- Analysis to support central commercial team on new deals/extensions
- Trend analysis and commentary when required to provide further insight to management information

**Skills and Experience**:
**Essential**:

- Bilingual in both English and Spanish with strong communication and collaboration skills
- Finance Professional, ideally qualified or pursuing a recognized accounting designation (CPA, CPC, etc.)
- Working experience in an accounting environment
- Demonstrable examples of performing a succinct and timely month end process and being able to say how you individually contributed to its success
- Quick at picking up new systems knowledge and processes
- Ability to present financial numbers succinctly and accurately

**_Nice to have:_**
- Ability and experience of working with finance colleagues in a global environment.
- Microsoft Dynamics (D365) would be an advantage
- Experience with IBM Cognos/TM1 would be an advantage
- Good skills with Excel including but not limited to VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables, Data Validation etc.
- Willingness to learning new processes and systems
- Good team player who can work effectively with different levels of stakeholders
