Eaton’s VEH EMB eMobility division is currently seeking a Plant Controller.

**What you’ll do**:
PRIMARYFUNCTION:
As a key and integral member of the plant leadership team, the Controller is responsible to establish, coordinate and administer an adequate plan for the control of the operation. Compares performance with operating plans and goals and reports and interprets operations results to all levels of management. Must consult with functional management responsible for policy and action concerning any phase of the operation that relates to attainment of objectives and effectiveness of policies. The Controller is responsible of ensuring compliance with corporate financial policies, legal requirements and GAAP as well as securing the protection of the operation’s assets through internal control, internal audit, and proper insurance identification.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
a)Develop and coordinate budgets, profit plans, strategic plans, monthly forecasts, goals & objectives, financial reconciliations, reports, and analysis for plant management, including variance analysis and cost control reporting and recommendations including corrective actions to address unfavorable variances. This also includes report requests from region, division, and corporate requirements.
b)Advice and counsel plant manager and staff on financial implications of operating strategies, cost control actions and decisions.
c)Review, analyze and evaluate financial data and information for accuracy, consistency, and transparency. Maintain integrity of financial reports prepared by the legal entity / plant.
d)Interpret, implement, and monitor corporate policies and procedures, ensure financials are reported in compliance with them and with accepted accounting principles and local statutory requirements.
e)Control and maintain adequate product costing systems for valuation and cost estimating activities.
f) Ownership of account reconciliation process to maintain records integrity of legal entity / plant general ledger and its supporting sub-systems, providing adequate training and support to all finance personnel to ensure account reconciliations meet Eaton’s requirements.
g)Assess adequacy of reserves and overall financial reporting.
h)Provide leadership and support for the Balance Sheet Review process.
i)Establish, monitor, and maintain a system of internal controls that safeguards company asset and provides for integrity and propriety of financial transactions and activities. Compliance with corporate policy, including SOX.
j)Evaluate and approve plant capital appropriation requests prior to region/division and corporate management approval. Monitor and report purchase commitments and spending for all capital programs. Conduct follow-up audits to ensure compliance for all significant capital investments.
k)Manage hiring, training, and development of plant financial staff. Establish a work environment that encourages individual career development and growth to provide adequate and qualified financial professionals opportunity for advancement.
l)Manages the deployment of cost saving and other programs to provide operating economies and improve profitability. Monitors and provides opportunities to support continuously improving Plant Productivity / Gross Utilization.
m)Support other Operations initiatives including OpA, MESH, CIF and other EBS efforts.
n)Ensures that the appropriate plant quality policy and system are thoroughly implemented in the finance function. Ensure all finance responsibilities are defined and communicated throughout the plant with specific responsibilities and appropriate timing. Ensures the deployment of finance standard work.

**Qualifications**:
**REQUIREMENTS**:
Bachelor’s degree -Accounting (Finance) major

5 years diversified, progressive experience in the manufacturing environment, some of which may have been gained in public accounting (audit), with an emphasis in manufacturing accounting (cost, forecasting, planning) including supervision.

Must have accounting experience as a CPA or CMA preferred but not required.

Must have a thorough knowledge of computerized accounting systems and related subsidiary ledgers systems. Ideally, this knowledge would be of Eaton company policies and corporate and plant systems as they relate to all phases of accounting and to the total manufacturing environment.

Internal controls process creation, implementation, and sustainability

Must operate as a team player and provide example and guidance of the same to peers and subordinates. A total quality approach and broad deployment of the same is imperative to the success of the position.

Well established verbal and written communication skills are required.

Demonstrates Finance Proficiency

Maintains an effective business partner relationship by providing impactful financial analysis.

High knowledge of GAAP
