The function of the arrival ambassador (AA) is to greet all arriving resort guests prior to registration in order to establish contact and start the relationship between the concierge/VSC and guest. The AA will act as the first measure to increase and maintain acceptable levels of guest penetration as well as leveraging the overall guest experience within the resort. To also act, at times, as required as a “Lead Generation Agent” by attracting resort guests to approach and interact with Vacation Services Coordinators concerning various information they may require.

Expected Contributions
- Performs more complex quantitative and qualitative analysis for business processes and/or projects. Often manages small projects, business processes or parts of larger ones.
- Moves, lifts, carries, pushes, pulls, and places objects weighing less than or equal to 20kg without assistance.
- Responds to, solves, and makes decisions on more complex/non-routine business requests with limited to moderate risk.
- Responsible for own work and contributing to team, department and/or business results. May direct work of non-management staff.
- Assists more senior associates in achieving business results
- Achieving results against budget within scope of responsibility.
- Demonstrates an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.
- Performs other duties as appropriate.

Specific Expected Contributions
- Greets all arriving guests and directs the guest to the reception area.
- Provides to the guest an amenity (moist/cool towel, welcome drink, etc).
- Escorts the guest from reception area and introduce the guest to the Concierge/VSC staff and desk.
- Delivers the guest to either the bell staff, or escort the guest to their room.
- Carries out all reasonable requests in order to achieve the highest levels of guest penetration
- Acts as a “lead generation agent” as required, attracting clients to the concierge desk and staff.
- Supports event activities within the resort, as required, assisting and attracting clients to the concierge/VSC
- Promotes certain events and activities within the resort attracting and directing guests to find out more information at the concierge desk.
- Generally, a professional position with specific knowledge in a discipline (e.g., Accounting, Human Resources, Information Resources). College degree and/or relevant experience typically required.
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in customer service, sales, or marketing.
- Bilingual, ability to speak English and Spanish, fluently.
- Demonstrate an ability to deliver high level of customer service in all situations.
- Demonstrate the ability to build and develop strong work and guest relationships.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, prepares and reviews written documents accurately and completely, and answers telephones using clear and professional language.
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, supports team to reach common goals, and listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of others.
- Stands, sits, or walks for extended periods or for an entire work shift. Ability to climb stairs.
- Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Performs other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Competencies
- Job Specific Computer Skills - Using computer hardware and software specific to job (e.g., MARSHA, PMS, SFA, NGS, Delphi, Point of Sale, HR technology).
- Mathematical Reasoning - The ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly, correctly, and in a way that allows one to solve work-related issues.
- Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
- Writing - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
