We're looking for a highly technical Engineering Manager to lead the teams and architecture behind Search, Navigation, and Product Discovery experiences for a large-scale e-commerce platform.This role sits at the intersection of engineering leadership, architecture, and product , owning a critical domain that directly impacts conversion, performance, and customer experience.
What you'll doLead the technical strategy and architecture for Search & Discovery across web and mobile platformsOwn core discovery experiences: search results, category/landing pages, navigation, filters, relevance, and recommendationsPartner closely with Product to drive data-driven decisions , experimentation, and measurable business impactScale and mentor high-performing engineering teams (including distributed teams)Ensure high standards in performance, scalability, and user experience
What we're looking forStrong background as an Engineering Manager with deep technical rootsExperience owning a product or platform domain end-to-endSolid understanding of modern frontend architectures (React, TypeScript, micro-frontends)Experience working with APIs, distributed systems, and platform teamsExposure to Search, Discovery, Personalization, or Recommendation systems (e-commerce or marketplaces strongly preferred)Comfortable working with metrics, experimentation, and business KPIs
Nice to haveExperience in large-scale e-commerce or marketplacesHands-on background earlier in your career (you don't need to code daily now)
