CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and service-oriented professional for the position of Internal Communications Analyst s within the Engagement chapter.

The positions will be based at CIMMYT’s headquarters in Texcoco, near Mexico City.

Specific duties:

Strategic Planning & Execution

- Maintain internal communications channels (intranet/Inside CIMMYT, email distribution lists, digital signage, etc.), ensuring they are up-to-date, user-friendly, and accessible.
- Coordinate internal communication tools and events, including townhalls, newsletters, and intranet updates.
- Execute internal communication campaigns that connect CIMMYT staff worldwide, contributing to engagement and retention.
- Develop and maintain content for newsletters, intranet, emails, and other platforms by collaborating with teams to gather stories and updates.
- Support change management initiatives through effective communication plans and materials.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of communication initiatives and events, analyze feedback, and recommend improvements.
- Promote CIMMYT’s mission, values, and organizational culture through communication efforts and staff events.
- Lead the creation of CIMMYT’s annual report, including proposing format, theme, and design to amplify impact.
- Organize and execute staff events such as Get Together, - Catalyst of Change, and other internal activities.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
- Proven experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or similar roles.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills in English (Spanish proficiency is a plus).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with digital communication tools and platforms.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
