About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Accountant (Contador Senior) to support our growing manufacturing / maquiladora operations in Rosarito.
This role will manage accounting and tax operations under IMMEX Program, and work closely with our international finance team in Taiwan.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Accounting & Financial Operations
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
- Ensure accuracy of financial transactions under Mexican GAAP and internal company policies.
2.Tax & IMMEX Compliance
- Prepare and submit tax declarations in line with SAT requirements.
- Manage IMMEX documentation, audits, and compliance for import/export operations.
- Liaise with customs and external consultants to ensure compliance with maquiladora regulations.
3.Financial Reporting
- Prepare periodic financial statements, reports, and variance analyses.
- Consolidate and report results to the Taiwan headquarters in English.
4.Audit & External Coordination
- Work with auditors, tax advisors, and government agencies during reviews and annual audits.
- Support both internal and external audit requests.
5.Regulatory & Policy Alignment
- Monitor new accounting and tax regulations in Mexico and ensure company compliance.
- Support finance policy implementation and process improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance (manufacturing industry preferred).
- Familiarity or experience with IMMEX / Maquiladora operations is a strong plus.
- Experience with SAT filings, CONTPAQi, or SAP is desirable.
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable communicating in English and Spanish.
