AS400 Engineer

Contribute to all stages of software development lifecycle

Analyse user requirements to define business objectives

Develop and test software

Identify and resolve any technical issues arising

Develop technical designs for application development

Conducting software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging

Develop documentation to help users

Prepare and produce releases of software components

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: (Must have Requirements)

Relevant experience as a developer using AS400/i-Series Technologies

Should have working experience in Cobol 400, CLP, DB2 and SQL400

Prepare and produce releases of software components

Participate in Production Support and resolve Incidents

Support continuous improvement, investigating alternatives and technologies, and presenting for architectural review

Develop technical designs for application development

Ensure application designs conform with business goals

Define application objectives and functionality

The successful candidate will also meet the following requirements: (Good to have Requirements)

Nice to have knowledge on ARCAD, RTC and willing to learn once boarded into the project

Nice to have Dev-Ops tools like Jenkins and Agile Scrum process and Jira.

Nice to have experience in Credit Risk Domain

Working experience on the Credit Risk management applications will be an added advantage.

Knowledge and experience on MongoDB would be an added advantage.
