PROVIDENT Job Alert IT Operations Head

Location: Puebla

The Challenge:

The IT Operations Head is a senior leadership role responsible for managing and evolving the organization’s IT operations in a highly regulated, security-driven environment. This role oversees on-premises, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure with a strong emphasis on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The position requires close collaboration with software development teams to design, implement, and operate modern cloud-native architectures.

Key Roles and Responsabilities:

- Provide strategic leadership for IT operations within a regulated financial services environment.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and management of hybrid and cloud-native infrastructure, primarily on AWS.
- Lead and deliver large-scale migration and transformation projects from on-premises environments to AWS.
- Manage and control the IT operations budget, including forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
- Oversee IT Service Management (ITSM) processes aligned with ITIL, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management.

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Full professional English to collaborate with global teams and stakeholders.

Experience and Skills:

- Extensive leadership experience in IT Operations within the financial services industry.
- Managing large-scale teams (50+ people) across multiple IT functions.
- Experience in budget management and financial planning for IT operations and cloud services.
- Strong background in project management for complex infrastructure, cloud, and security initiatives.
- Proven experience designing and operating cloud-native architectures on AWS.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling, including GitHub and Jenkins.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Practical experience using Terraform, Pulumi, and/or AWS CDK for infrastructure provisioning and cloud cost optimization.
- Solid experience managing ITSM processes based on ITIL frameworks.
