Position: CUSTOMS SPECIALIST SENIOR

Responsible for ensuring full compliance with international trade regulations related to the import and export of automotive vehicles, parts, and components. This role supports manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics operations by managing customs documentation, tariff classifications, trade agreements, and regulatory requirements to minimize risk, delays, and costs.

JOB SUMMARY

- BD- Engineering, International Relations, Commercial Trade, Foreign Trade , BA or any major related
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, tariff classification, and trade compliance programs.
- Experience with automotive parts, bills of materials (BOMs), and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and customs management software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- VISA and Valid Passport Requirement

- Automotive industry expertise it ́s a must for this position.
- It's difficult to access to the Plant- for this reason it ́s important that the candidate must have her/ his own transportation or another alternative to get to this site.
- Nowadays the company is unable to give support relocation- for foreign candidates

Experience minimum 7 years in automotive industry (must) as Customs Analyst.

- Ensure compliance with customs laws, regulations, and trade agreements (e.g., USMCA, WTO, local customs regulations).
- Classify automotive parts, components, and vehicles using the Harmonized System (HS) codes.
- Prepare, review, and submit import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government authorities to resolve clearance issues.
- Monitor duty payments, exemptions, drawbacks, and preferential tariff programs.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy of customs filings and compliance processes.
- Support supply chain and manufacturing teams with trade compliance guidance.
- Track regulatory changes and assess their impact on automotive imports/exports.
- Manage Free Trade Agreement (FTA) qualification and origin analysis for automotive products.
- Investigate and resolve customs discrepancies, penalties, or compliance violations.
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with legal retention requirements.
- Working closely with customs agents to complete declarations and resolve queries - Working closely with various departments to ensure all relevant
- Customs declaration documents are correctly completed within the necessary timeframe
- Act as the process owner for the Broker Referral process, ensuring timely and compliant import entries
- Measure broker performance against internal business rules and compliance standards
- Coordinate delivery of goods to final destinations
- Control of customs inventory
- VAT credit control and Balance Account System
- Calculation of contributions and import and export expenses
- Achieve strategic procedures to consolidate the foreign trade area
- Handling of international documents: invoices, certificates of origin, tax and expo documents
- Monitoring of shipments
