Position Objective

To coordinate and manage the Quality Laboratory operations, ensuring reliable measurement results, proper use and calibration of measuring equipment, and compliance with automotive industry standards and the Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and oversee Quality Laboratory and Metrology activities.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 17025 requirements (ISO 17025 desirable).
- Manage the calibration and verification program for measuring and test equipment.
- Ensure proper execution of MSA (GR&R, Bias, Linearity, Stability) studies.
- Validate measurement methods and ensure measurement traceability.
- Supervise the proper use of measuring instruments (CMM, optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).
- Support APQP and PPAP activities related to dimensional validation and measurement systems.
- Analyze and report laboratory results, measurement trends, and capability data.
- Ensure proper control of laboratory documentation, records, and procedures.
- Train and qualify personnel in measurement techniques, blueprint reading, and GD&T.
- Support internal, customer, and third-party audits.
- Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and 5S standards within the laboratory.

Job Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field.
- Experience: 3–5 years in a Quality Laboratory or Metrology role within the automotive metal-mechanic industry.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Dimensional metrology
- GD&T
- MSA
- IATF 16949
- ISO 17025 (desirable)
- Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA)
- Metal-mechanic processes (machining, stamping, welding)
- Language: Intermediate English (technical reading and communication).
- Software: MS Office, CMM and metrology software.
