In Sourcing, you'll apply your apparel and accessories and footwear expertise to promote and apply responsible sourcing practices while driving the success and growth of Target's owned brands. The Sourcing team starts at the very earliest stages of product development, builds out the costing models and tracks where product stands at every step in the production cycle, from overseas shipping to our import warehouses, distribution centers and stores. And since Target is indeed a global company, you'll be part of the team that manages global relationships in partnership with the headquarters sourcing teams. Your ability to stay aware of our suppliers' activities will help ensure compliance with responsible practices, and you'll have influence over which manufacturers Target chooses to work with. You'll be a close point-of-contact with Target team members in sourcing offices located around the globe, and you'll support their work as liaisons among buyers, product developers and overseas partners.
As a Sourcing Manager , your primary functions are to achieve financial plans by partnering with Headquarter counterparts, cross Functional teams and business partners through product life cycle management for assigned categories and geographic markets. Your principal responsibilities will be:
- Manage and coach vendors/factories throughout product design and development to ensure risk assessment, risk resolution, and capacity planning are focused, vendor/factory Matrixes and planning are aligned with sourcing strategies, and new business opportunities are identified
- Conduct costing & negotiation with all components and in country market intelligence analyzed to drive optimal results
- Manage E2E program and vendor/factory execution by collaborating with cross functional teams for any potential issue resolutions and ensure sourcing cycle is followed responsibly and ethically
- Support post shipment issues, e.g. claim resolution and settlement
- Elevate matrix and onboard vendors/factories by vetting new vendors/factories to align with Target's expectations
- Establish and maintain vendor/factory relationship for continuous elevation of supply chain; drive optimal sourcing solutions to support brand/sourcing strategy
- Monitor and ensure on-time delivery by tracking vendor production against confirmed orders

About you:
- 4 year University/College degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years or more of sourcing and/or merchandising experience
- At least 3-5 years of experience in production planning and vendor production follow-up within Apparel & Accessories and Footwear
- Knowledge of required products and sourcing operations
- Excellent interpersonal skills, experience in working with dynamic, multiple and remote stakeholder
- Strong ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders under multiple cultural background and to influence without authority
- Fluent in English and local communication
- Strong problem solving, negotiation, analytical, planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work across multiple time zones, as needed, in collaboration with global teams
- Strong data analysis, critical thinking and strategic thought process
- Adaptive, self-driven and self-motivated approach
- Ability to travel 40% of the time domestically and internationally
Desired Requirements:
- Experience with well-known brand Buying Offices from US and European retailors
- Knowledge of production tracking, quality assurance processes, and factory performance management
