The Procurement Assistant will support the procurement department and performs various tasks under direct supervision.
The individual will be responsible for managing and updating our supplier data base as well as sourcing quality parts/services while negotiating the best price within the company's needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create, distribute, and maintain supplier non-disclosure agreements
- Collects and files supplier COI documents and 17025 documents
- Initiate and support Supplier Management activities such as ongoing monitoring of supplier performance, and resolution of quality, delivery, or build issues. Enters new suppliers into database
- Pursue and validate new or potential suppliers, including MBE, WBE, and SDB sources
- Performs credit card reconciliations
- Researches and follows up on aging purchase orders
- Solicit and negotiate quotations, balancing all value drivers such as supplier cost, quality, technical competence, and delivery to support project timing
- Manage and update engineering BOM as appropriate
- Create purchase requisitions for project manager approval, PO processing and distribution as required
- Manage supplier database records & data
- Collaboratively work with project/engineering team to communicate technical package/scope of work and any associated clarifications to supply base
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree
- Experience in inventory/supply chain management
- ERP experience
- Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities
- Strong organizational skills required
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer and MS Office proficiency
Additional Details:
- Training will be conducted in office everyday (first 2-3 weeks)
- After training – Hybrid work schedule (3) days in office, (2) remote
