This position requires relocation to the Diego Garcia Islands, where housing, food, and transport are provided
- Scope: Demolition, minimal Structural repairs, repair and installation of structures including frame, repair roofing system, doors, windows, louvers, minimal floor finishes, Painting works, concrete pads , partitions, MEP, fire suppression, fire alar What’s in It for You?
- Free Housing, food, and transport are provided Qualifications & Skills Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience (preferably in remote military base projects). Experience on NAVFAC, USACE, or DoD projects preferred. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and enforce the project's Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA). Monitor and ensure compliance with EM 385‑1‑1, OSHA standards, and Diego Garcia base regulations. Conduct daily site safety inspections, identify hazards, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Attend preparatory, initial, and follow‑up meetings related to work activities. Maintain all safety logs, reports, training records, incident reports, and documentation required by the contracting authority. Conduct safety orientations, toolbox talks, and task‑specific training for workers and subcontractors. Liaise with NAVFAC representatives, base safety officers, and government inspectors.
