- Prepare detailed audit schedules in compliance with Mexican financial regulations (e.g., SAT).
- Provide auditors with timely and accurate information, supporting documentation, and research as required.
- Coordinate with internal and external audit teams to ensure smooth audit processes.
- Maintain traceability and documentation for all accounting processes.
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual General Ledger (GL) account reconciliations.
- Investigate outstanding balances and follow up on reconciling items to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure the integrity of General Ledger information and proper account classification.
- Prepare financial reports.
- Collaborate with various departments to prepare annual and quarterly operating budgets.
- Review and monitor assigned General Ledger account budgets, highlighting variances.
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems.
- Reconcile vendor invoices with purchase orders and receiving reports.
- Validate proper accounting coding in accordance with internal policies.
- Ensure the timely processing of accounts payable. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Previous experience working with Mexican companies and knowledge of local regulations (required).
- Experience with audits and tax compliance in Mexico (SAT regulations, DIOT, CFDI, etc.). Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and Mexican Financial Reporting Standards.
- Experience with ERP and accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
