We are seeking a Payroll Specialist with extensive experience managing payroll for large numbers of employees. The position is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of payroll cycles, legal compliance, audits, reporting, etc.
Skills:
- Manage the full payroll cycle (calculation, stamping, payment, and reconciliation).
- Ensure compliance with tax obligations, IMSS, INFONAVIT, and labor regulations.
- Handle incidents, updates, and system changes (Tress, Tempus, Workday, Oracle).
- Coordinate internal and external payroll audits.
- Implement process improvements and controls to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Report key performance indicators.
- Incorporate incidents provided by Human Resources and validate the calculation of earnings, deductions, and contributions.
- Close monthly statements.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to critical deadlines.
- Intermediate–advanced Excel skills (report handling, validations, and reconciliations).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience processing payroll in Mexico, including unionized environments.
- Strong understanding of labor and tax regulations, with the ability to interpret complex legal requirements.
- Experience in month-end closing, account reconciliations, and payroll integration.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- High level of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive employee data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and data processing tools.
- for innovation and continuous improvement, with experience or interest in automation tools and digital transformation.
- Familiarity with Workday, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or other payroll-related ERP systems (Tress, Tempus).
