Eaton Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Power Delivery Division, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engineering functions to support operations and achieve manufacturing and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and lead projects teams through the PROLaunch phase-gate process.
  • Coordinate equipment installations, technical support, process improvements, and preventive maintenance.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing methods and equipment, conferring with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Lead and facilitate manufacturing activities, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
  • Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods and establishing standards.
  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
  • Update and maintain SAP manufacturing routings.
  • Replace obsolete tooling and equipment.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams for Mesh Compliance and establish best layout distribution.
  • Train and inform cell technicians on current process techniques and new manufacturing concepts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical, electronic, or manufacturing engineering.
  • 4 years' experience in manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally in the automotive industry.
  • English language intermediate level.
  • Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and training in assembly controls, automation, mistake proofing techniques, and CNC programming.
  • Solving Problems and analysis techniques (5's, 8D's, Ishikawa, A3).
  • Background or experience in quality basics such as statistical process control, capability studies, and gage R&R's.
  • Skills at interpreting mechanical drawings and basic use of CAD and Solid works systems.
  • Knowledge of machinery functions (hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic operations).
  • Yellow Belt (Six Sigma) certification, Green Belt Certification will be considered a plus.
  • SAP knowledge focuses on Manufacturing Processes.

Additional Information

This position requires some travel and the use of management skills to act as a liaison for associates at all levels. Participate and assist in meeting all plant Environmental Health and Safety objectives. Establish a timely response for corrective actions to help drive continuous improvement through the Environmental Management Program. Develop and implement positive employee relations to encourage employee involvement and create an environment in which employees see no need for third-party intervention.
