About the Role:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our team in Mexico City, Mexico. As a Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing our Light Vehicle Sales Forecasting service, which is a critical component of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis of the Mexican light vehicle market, creating forecasts, custom reports, and intelligence briefings for clients.
  2. Data Coordination: Network with key contacts in the Mexico region automotive market to validate data and exchange intelligence.
  3. Forecast Maintenance: Assist in maintaining S&P Global Mobility's Light Vehicle Sales Forecasts and related products, including Global Forecast Scenario Services.
  4. Demand Forecasting: Coordinate data, analyze market trends, and develop forecasts using S&P Global Mobility's forecast methodology/model.
  5. Powertrain Forecasting: Interpret regulation and industry decarbonization research, and analyze regional and OEM-level sales-based powertrain forecasts.
  6. Analytics and Data Modelling: Develop and maintain stable data workflows/pipelines from multiple sources, and translate stakeholder needs into well-designed systems.
  7. Collaboration: Participate in project work, including cross-regional and cross-team projects as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Education: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in economics, business, or equivalent in industry-related experience.
  2. Skills: Basic skills in data analytics tools such as Python, KNIME, Alteryx, R or similar.
  3. Language: Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish at a business level is a must. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  4. Software: Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office to include proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  5. Communication: Excellent communication skills to include writing, interpersonal, and presentation skills with both large and small audiences.
  6. Analysis: Strong analysis skills and the ability to assess and interpret information.
  7. Relationship Building: Well-developed relationship building skills.
  8. Passion: Passion for the automotive industry and working in a dynamic international team.
