Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team at CH01 CHE Fresenius Medical Care (Schweiz) AG. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading supplier development programs and implementing lean management initiatives to drive cost savings and quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Supplier Development Programs: Identify and lead lean management initiatives with suppliers to drive sustainable improvements and cost savings.
  • Implement Quality Improvements: Lead continuous improvement programs with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes and reduce defects.
  • Support Supplier Selection: Support the supplier selection process and qualification to production.
  • Corrective and Preventive Actions: Identify and implement corrective and preventive actions for major non-conformities in products and services.
  • Opportunity Identification: Identify existing and potential opportunities for improvements in quality and costs.
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier performance KPIs, analyze manufacturing processes, quality records, complaints, and other sources of data.
  • Initiative Establishment: Establish initiatives with suppliers to ensure improvements are implemented.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, manufacturing, quality, and R&D teams to ensure continuous improvement of products, services, and processes.
  • Supplier Audits: Perform supplier manufacturing process audits to identify improvement opportunities and ensure implementation of improvement actions.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical supplier evaluations for supplier selection and provide technical guidance and expertise internally and to suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Education: University degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electronics, or Medical Engineering.
  • Certification: Six Sigma certification at least Green Belt.
  • Experience: Several years of experience in leading supplier development programs, lean management, and quality management.
  • Skills: Proven experience in performing supplier audits, good knowledge of risk analysis techniques, and proven methods of advanced product quality planning and production part approval process.
  • Autonomy: Ability to work autonomously and make decisions in difficult situations.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to create and communicate a clear strategy and plan.
