Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Massage Therapist to join our luxury spa team at Fairmont Breakers. As a Lead Massage Therapist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional massage therapy services to our guests, while also leading and training a team of service providers to ensure consistent high standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Professional Massage Therapy Services: Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service to our guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a high level of professionalism in all aspects of job performance.
- Lead and Train the Team: Lead the training programs with the service providers, observe their performance, and assist accordingly to ensure all standards are met consistently.
- Interact and Communicate Effectively: Interact and communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and management team, providing an exceptional experience to all guests, promptly handling any guest comments, complaints, or concerns with discretion and urgency.
- Maintain a Clean and Hygienic Environment: Maintain a clean, hygienic, and neat work environment at all times, ensuring all equipment is in safe working order.
- Prepare and Refresh Treatment Rooms: Prepare and refresh the treatment rooms for the guests, assist with the removal of linen and towels for expedited service.
- Actively Participate in Spa Operations: Actively participate in other areas of the spa operations, such as body treatments and product knowledge, and maintain cleanliness and stock all wellness facilities as needed.
- Maintain Product and Supply Inventory: Maintain product and supply inventory in collaboration with spa leadership.
- Upsell and Promote Retail Sales: Use upselling techniques to actively promote retail sales and enhancements.
- Assist Guests with Hotel Facilities: Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way.
- Maintain Brand and Quality Standards: Maintain all brand and quality luxury service standards, consistency in accordance to Forbes/LQA and Fairmont standards.
- Conduct Audits and Feedback Reviews: Conduct audits amongst the team, conduct self-audits, and participate in the feedback review to improve service levels.
- Communicate Maintenance Deficiencies: Communicate maintenance deficiencies in a timely manner.
- Ensure a Safe Working Environment: Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times and that all colleagues are committed to working safely.
- Ensure Confidentiality of Guest Information: Ensure confidentiality of all guest sensitive information at all times.
- Follow Departmental Policies and Procedures: Follow departmental policies and procedures, and follow all safety and sanitation policies.
- Certification from an Accredited School of Massage: Certification from an accredited school of Massage required.
- California Massage Therapy Council Certification: Certified in California namely California Massage Therapy Council.
- Previous Experience as a Lead Therapist: Previous experience as a lead therapist required.
- Previous Training Experience: Previous training experience required.
- Previous Experience in a Luxury Environment: Previous experience in a luxury environment preferred.
- All Professional Licenses Current: All professional licenses are to be current.
- Must Successfully Complete the Fairmont Breakers Training Program: Must successfully complete the Fairmont Breakers training program and hands-on evaluation for this role.
- CPR and First Aid Certification Preferred: CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
