Job Overview

As a key member of the FedEx team, the Operations Handler plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery and pickup of packages. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of packages.
  2. Conduct thorough inspections of packages to verify proper labeling, legality of content, and adherence to safety regulations.
  3. Prepare and process necessary paperwork, including airway bills and delivery records, with precision and accuracy.
  4. Identify opportunities to increase business with existing customers and escalate leads to the Sales Manager as needed.
  5. Communicate effectively with Station Ops. Manager and Sales team regarding changes in customer or competitor activity.
  6. Operate company aircraft and vehicles in a safe and secure manner, adhering to FedEx safety policies and procedures.
  7. Audit and sort packages to ensure accurate and efficient processing.
  8. Ensure compliance with FedEx safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
  9. Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including cleaning, washing, and tire pressure checks.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Middle School degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record.
  • Basic English language skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience operating ramp and warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 pounds with proper equipment.
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts.
  • General vehicle maintenance experience and proficiency with power and hand tools.
  • Ability to pass the Basic Skills Test, including Reading, Map Reading, Sorting, and Math sections.
  • Strong accuracy, attention to detail, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent team working skills.
